Our View of the Sector
Innovative SME/SMI
In response to the expansion of "offshore" work, today companies from this sector, mainly SMEs and SMIs, must demonstrate their creativity and responsiveness in order to maintain their market position and develop their business. Now more than ever before, innovation is the key to their survival.

Clearly companies must innovate at product level to remain competitive but they must also consider their manufacturing methods if they aim to obtain the necessary margins for growth. To do this, they focus on their production tools, rolling out 3x8 shift work and automating a maximum number of functions.

The information system as a corporate benefit
In this environment, a company's information system is no longer considered as an expense but as a real benefit to the business.
The leading companies on the sector already have the complete IT package: enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions with computer-assisted production management (CAPM), often supply chain management (SCM) and sometimes customer relationship management (CRM).
The workshop is now the target of their administrations and implementing additional systems a priority. Among these systems are :
MES : (Manufacturing Execution System): by integrating all workshop functions into one solution, this system monitors the entire manufacturing cycle, thus enabling better control of processes and rapid rectification of any faults.
CAMM (Computer-Assisted Maintenance Management): this solution enables companies to anticipate breakdowns and avoid manufacturing shutdowns (some MES include this function).

Relying on partners with the necessary skills

Installing these systems requires a wide range of skills and failure is not an option. It is therefore essential that the SME/SMI call on a technical partner able to guide it through the research and implementation stages in order to limit costs and risks.
